  up on Thursday 18th July, 8pm at The Step Above with Muswell Hill-bas
 ed author, Andrew Byrne.\nAndrew will be talking about his self-publis
 hed debut novel, Some Place South of Perfect. The story is set in Lond
 on in 2010 and follows the lives of a disparate group of people rubbin
 g up against each other for reasons right and wrong over the course of
  eight days. It is a wry depiction of interacting lives and examines h
 ow thin the margins between safety and danger, success and failure, ha
 ppiness and misery really are.\nAndrew will be reading extracts from S
 ome Place South of Perfect, discussing the story’s origins and shari
 ng his experiences from the world of self-publishing…which he promis
 es is not half as daunting or difficult as most people imagine!\nHe wi
 ll also take questions from the audience so whether you want to know m
 ore about writing a novel, looking for some useful guidance on publish
 ing your own work or just want to spend an hour so in the company of a
  talented and humorous man…this evening could well be the night for
