DESCRIPTION:Our quiz night compered, chaired and championed by three l
 ocal MPs, all leading activists for the rights and dignity of those ab
 andoned by a harsh and inhumane system, will aim to challenge, inform 
 and leave no stone unturned on the UK’s asylum process.The themes an
 d questions will be developed in collaboration with Haringey Migrant S
 upport Group, Birth Companions and The Helen Bamber Foundation. The qu
 estions will focus on the human, psychological and financial cost to t
 he individual attempting to navigate the tortuous and hostile journey 
 towards the safety and security that all coming here seek.Our communit
 y contains incredibly rich seams of generosity and humanity but those 
 contributing to PramDepot and other organisations that support asylum 
 seekers, have varying degrees of knowledge and understanding of the nu
 mbing levels of struggle and stress facing those seeking the most basi
 c of human rights for themselves and their babies. A mother and baby i
 n one tiny room, scraping together the bare essentials on £35 per wee
 k, standing in Home Office queues in the cold and the rain, with their
  Leave to Remain refused, appealing, waiting – always waiting and of
 ten alone.The evening will incorporate a Q&A session and an opportunit
 y for discussion – so be prepared to listen, learn, participate, sha
 re, enlighten and be enlightened. And some of us may leave feeling bet
 ter equipped to help counter the ‘Hostile Environment’ and campaig
