DESCRIPTION:This workshop with Las Witchas Collective will explore the
  memories and knowledge our grandmothers have left in us to create a c
 ollective story-telling chair. As migrants, personal memories, especia
 lly the relationships with our ancestors, are what keep our roots and 
 connections to our homeland alive. They are an important part of our i
 dentity as a community.\nAll ages are welcome to come along, bring the
 ir own memories and use their imagination to create images or poetic l
 ines. We will then transfer them onto the chair using patchwork and em
 broidery or paint. We will also facilitate a short story telling/ poet
 ry workshop to start the process.\nThis free workshop will be lots of 
 fun and spiced up with Afro Latin music by Las Witchas!\nLocation: Bru
