 rarely shown film about the life of Peter Tosh, reggae artist, Jamaica
 n folk hero, and radical political activist. Packed with rare concert 
 footage, interviews and narration by Tosh himself, this film traces To
 sh from his early rise from the slums of Kingston and probes the unans
 wered questions surrounding his brutal death.\n\nTosh died in 1987 but
  narrates his life story via the “Red X” tapes, a series of microc
 assette recordings that were originally to be used for the singer’s 
 autobiography. The name comes from the fact that whenever Tosh spotted
  his name on an official government document, it would normally be fol
 lowed by a red-inked X. The director uses interviews with various memb
 ers of the Tosh family, his friends and associates to fill in the gaps
