DESCRIPTION:A circular walk of approx. 6  miles mainly along footpath
 s and bridleways.  (Wear footwear suitable for walking on uneven and 
 muddy ground.) Meet at Bowes Park BR station at c 1.30 to catch the 1
 .42  Stevenage train to Gordon Hill (journey time approx 10 mins).  
 Buy a return ticket to Gordon Hill or use Oyster cards or passes.Walk 
 via Lavender Hill Cemetery, Hilly Fields, Whitewebbs Park to Forty Hal
 l - duration approx 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the conditions underfo
 ot and the pace of the group.Cafe and toilet stop at Forty Hall, with

 Walk back to Gordon Hill via the New River (Old Course) public footpat
 h and Hilly Fields - duration approx 1 hour. Trains from Gordon Hill 
 to Bowes Park at  28 and 58 minutes past the hour.   Possible drin

 anyone not wishing to complete this circular walk could leave after vi
