 ed by oud (Arab lute) player and composer Yazid, who has performed wi
 th Robert Plant, Marc Almond, Transglobal Underground, Cheb Mami, and 
 Cheb Sahraoui. He has also toured with Natacha Atlas and Hussam Alrass
 am.\nThe Guardian has described Yaz’s compositions as having “brea
 dth and atmosphere, and his oud soloing, which recalls the drive and d
 ynamism of world oud star Anouar Brahem, is often stunning”.\nYaz is
  accompanied by Karim’s world-class Darbouka playing and Frank’
 s exciting melodic violin. Karim has played with Joi, Trevor Watts Mo
 iré Music, and Oojami, while Frank’s unique improvising style on th
 e violin has led to tours with the Balkan group Mukka and recording wi
 th the Waterboys and Stereo MCs. He also produced Mukka’s Radio 1 Jo
 hn Peel session. Algerian bassist extraordinaire Hamid Bouri complet
 es the quartet.\nEl Andaluz takes the audience on an extraordinary jo
 urney. From a poetic and reflective Andalusian Nuba to the trance-like
  Sufi music of the Sahara, then to delightful Turkish rhythms and clas
 sical Egyptian belly dances, they often end the evening with the celeb
 ratory Chaabi music of Algeria, which never fails to get the audience
