 s 1775-2014 at the Victoria & Albert Museum, Textiles and Fashion Cura
 tor Edwina Ehrman shares the story of the iconic white wedding dress.\
 nThis will highlight some of the most romantic, glamorous and extravag
 ant dresses from the V&Aâ€™s superb collection, revealing fascinating 
 details about their histories and the lives of the wearers.Â  The talk
  will be followed by a private view of the exhibition â€˜Just Married:
  150 Years of Enfield Weddingsâ€™ and a chance to talk to Poppy Singer
 , the Conservator who restored the dresses on display. Wine and Light 
 refreshments will be available.Â \nAbout Edwina Ehrman:\nEdwina Ehrman
  is a Textiles and Fashion Curator at the V&A and a specialist in 19th
  century fashion and the history of London fashion. She is the Lead Cu
 rator of Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear, which will be displa
 yed at the V&A from April 2016- February 2017. She previously curated 
 the Museumâ€™s very successful exhibition Wedding Dresses 1775-2014 an
 d until 2013 she was the lead curator for The Clothworkersâ€™ Centre f
 or the Study and Conservation of Textiles and Fashion. Her publication
 s include London Couture 1923-1975: British Luxury (V&A Publications, 
 forthcoming September 2015) of which she is co-editor and a contributo
 r, Wedding Dress: 300 Years of Bridal Fashions (V&A Publications 2011,
  2014), and The London Look: Fashion from Street to Catwalk (Yale Univ
 ersity Press, 2006). Until 1989 Edwina worked at the Museum of London 
 where she was Senior Curator of Fashion and Decorative Art. She is cur
 rently Chair of the Dress and Textiles Specialist Subject Network (DAT
 S).\nÂ \nAbout Poppy Singer:\nPoppy Singer is a graduate of the the Te
 xtile Conservation CentreCourtauld Institute of Art's three-year postg
 raduate diploma course in Textile Conservation. After training Poppy t
 ook up the post of Textile Conservation Officer at The Museum of Londo
 n. Subsequently she returned to The Textile Conservation Centre as Con
 servatorTutor. Since 1988 she has been working in private practice, bo
 th independently and in association with Annabel. Poppy recently spent
  time at the Heritage Conservation Centre, Singapore on a 6-week Fello
