SUMMARY:Exhibition: Gethsemane Garments
DESCRIPTION:\nFollowing previous exhibitions of art works in the Churc
 h sanctuary borrowed from the West Hill Foundation (on Peace and Recon
 ciliation, and Bald Statements) the organisersare planning another cal
 led Gethsemane Garments. These are four large cloaks – each with det
 ailed panels representing pain and suffering, but also hope and resurr
 ection – challenging themes to think about during the period of Holy
  Week and Easter. The Garments have been on display in churches and ca
 thedrals throughout the U.K., often inspiring people to take up the ch
 allenge and create a garment that reflects their own situation. We are
  fortunate to have been allowed to borrow an additional Garment which 
 was worked by the women of Lichfield Cathedral, and which we will disp
 lay in our exhibition. Just in case we feel inspired, there will be an
  opportunity to contribute to a ‘Palmers Green’ Garment at the exh
 ibition. This piece of ‘living art’ may not achieve exhibition sta
 tus anywhere else, but it is a way we can add something of our own. As
  well as the Garments, there will be some floral arrangements, words a
 nd images to help us think about the theme, and some quiet space.\nAll
