DESCRIPTION:We Made It! salutes past and present-day BAME creativity a
 nd innovation – all from Haringey. Exploring the collections from Br
 uce Castle Museum and Haringey Archive, this exhibition celebrates the
  more recent artistic excellence of portraitist Kelvin Okafor and the 
 creative storytelling of visual artist Agenda Brown of Visual Marvelry
 , alongside the early work of internationally-significant photographer
 s David A. Bailey, Dave Lewis, Ingrid Pollard and Suzanne Roden. Emerg
 ing talent Marquel Williams from Tottenham shows his new fashion desig
 ns, reflecting on the Windrush Generation and influenced by renowned t
 extile designer Althea McNish, with made examples using her beautiful 
 fabric. For the first time the award-winning ‘Sewn Together’ Afric
 an and Caribbean commemorative quilts made by Sonja Camara and the Har
 ingey community will be displayed. The collection of artists includes 
 Gary March, Melonie Stennett, Bernette Hall, Antony Paul Maina, Adjoa 
 Wiredu, Tony Wolliston and Tania Pascoal, amongst many others.\nEnjoy,
