DESCRIPTION:Malcolm Stokes has had a long-time interest in the Bishop 
 of London's connection with Highgate and he's also the HHS expert on a
 ncient boundaries.  He will tell the story of the Deer Park in Highga
 te, founded in the twelfth century, which has given the area such a ri
 ch inheritance of open, green spaces.\nThe park extended westwards fro
 m the sites of the Gatehouse Inn to the Spaniards and northwards to Ea
 st Finchley Station. At the centre was a moated hunting lodge still di
 scernible at Highgate Golf Course.\nDoors open at 7.30 for the sale of
  refreshments and publications. The main doors have to be closed at 8p
 m for security reasons so anyone arriving after that will be unable to
