 digenous Resistance day? \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\nIndigenous Resista
 nce day occurs on the 12th October, the day in 1492 when colonial viol
 ence was unleashed on Abya Yalan (the reclaimed name for the land colo
 nised as South American) Indigenous communities, when Christopher Colo
 mbus landed on Abya Yalan shores. Today, Indigenous communities of Aby
 a Yala reject colonial ‘Colombus Day’ and instead celebrate Indige
 nous Resistance Day. Celebrating past and present Indigenous resistanc
 e to colonisation. \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\nThe 12th October is ther
 efore a call to not only retell history, but also to talk of the prese
 nt and shape an alternative future. It serves to discuss colonisation,
  both past and present and how we as communities can fight it to achie
 ve land justice. \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\nTherefore, during this Glo
 bal month of reparations, we come together to ask: \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n
 \r\n\r\nWhat can we learn from Indigenous Resistance past, present and
  future? \r\n\r\n\r\nWhat does it mean for Land Justice in our commun
 ity? \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n------------------------------

 nch, before the workshop, from our community kitchen. Food is made usi
 ng organic produce grown on site, as well as surplus supermarket veget
 ables. The Community Kitchen Food Justice programme works on a sliding
  scale so you pay whatever you can, those who are able to can pay a so
 lidarity price so lunch can be free for other members of the community
