 Griffith was born in Oregon, USA, and lived in New York from 1980 to 1
 995, working with Ron Carter, Jack McDuff and the Orchestras of Buddy 
 Rich, Mel Lewis and Mel Torme among others.\nHe moved to London in 199
 6, forming his own nine piece band soon afterwards. The Nonet has reco
 rded successfully several times, and has been a regular feature at Jaz
 z Festivals throughout the UK.\nHe is a renowned composer and arranger
 , supplying charts and compositions to the Ron Carter Nonet, the Lione
 l Hampton Orchestra and the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra.\nSee more
