 r over 20 years.\nAfter graduating from the Guildhall in 1989 he joine
 d the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and since then has gone on to work
  with Kenny Baker, Jack Parnell, Digby Fairweather, Martha Reeves and 
 Ronnie Spector.\nA Â multi-faceted jazz musician, Â Malcolm is not onl
 y widely Â respected in the fields of classic jazz and swing, Â but is
  also a very accomplished Â improviser in Â bop and Â more contemporar
 y idioms. Â His Â  broad musical approach has enabled him Â to perform
  with Â a variety of artists including Kenny Baker, Â Liam Noble and B
 ryan Ferry, Â as well as developing a distinctive voice of his own. Â 
  He has a broad and Â inclusive approach to jazz education,Â  and is c
 urrently Lecturer in JazzÂ  at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music an
 d Dance, Â London.\nMore recently he is a member of the Basin Street B
 rawlers, and leads Three Way Stretch, a contemporary trio with pianist
