DESCRIPTION:Our Thursday Jazz Weekly Night sees the return of Stan Sul
 zmann and Kate Williams on 4th June 2015.\nOur Restaurant will be serv

 t - 5 tickets for the price of 4)\n~~~~~\nSulzmann began on saxophone 
 at age 13 and played in Bill Ashton's London Youth Jazz Orchestra, lat
 er the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. He studied at the Royal Academy 
 of Music from 1969-1972. In the 1970s he played with the Clarke-Boland
  Big Band (1971), Mike Gibbs (1971), John Taylor and Kenny Wheeler, Vo
 lker Kriegel, Eberhard Weber, Zbigniew Seifert (1973), Phil Woods (197
 8), Clark Terry (1978), and Gordon Beck. In the 1980s he worked with G
 il Evans (1983), Paul McCartney(1987), the European Jazz Ensemble (198
 3),the James Last Orchestra, the Hilversum Radio Orchestra, the Hambur
 g-based NDR Big Band, and the London Jazz Orchestra. Collaborations in
  the 1990s include with Allan Botschinsky, David Murray (1997), Paul C
 larvis (1998), and Bruno Castellucci (1998). Television audiences arou
 nd the world have heard him as the saxophone soloist in The Belgian De
 tective, the theme music to ITV's Poirot, composed by Christopher Gunn
 ing.\n'But a shining light of the whole attractive enterprise is the p
 resence of Stan Sulzmann, who seems to sound more personal and hauntin

 r Kate Williams was born in London into a musical family (her father i
 s the guitarist John Williams, her mother a classical pianist). A reci
 pient of the John Dankworth Award For Talent Deserving Wider Recogniti
 on, she has gained a distinctive reputation as both a writer and perfo
 rmer.  Her latest CD Atlas And Vulcana is a further reflection of he
 r colourful originality as a pianist/composer/arranger. With pieces fo
 r trio, quartet and septet, this is an album of contrasts which featur
 es some of the finest musicians on the UK jazz scene. \n \nShe is a 
 member of Chris Biscoe’s Mingus Moves, has recorded with vocalists G
 eorgia Mancio (for whom she has also composed and arranged) and Juliet
  Kelly, as well as performing with many other leading UK artists inclu
 ding  Anita Wardell, Tina May, Henry Lowther, Jim Mullen, John Etheri
 dge, Julian Siegel, Tim Whitehead and Karen Sharp.\n~~~~~\nThey will b
