DESCRIPTION:Our Thursday Jazz Weekly Night welcomes Allison Neale on 1
 1th June 2015.  With Allison on alto-sax, she’ll be joined by Chris
  Boscoe on baritone sax, Colin Oxley on guitar, Jeremy Brown on bass a
 nd our regular local drummer Stu Butterfield where you can expect wond
 erfully melodic interpretations of classic recordings of Paul Desmond

  of the melodic West Coast style, American born Allison Neale has perf
 ormed alongside leading international artists such as Adelaide Hall an
 d Bud Shank and more recently tenorist Scott Hamilton as well as featu
 ring in both the John Dankworth\n‘Generations‘ Band and the “Bac

 nce his first recording with Ben Sidran, Chris Biscoe has worked with 
 Chris McGregor, Kenny Wheeler, Andy Sheppard, Andrew Hill, Dewey Redma
 n, The Dedication Orchestra, Peter Jacobsen and Didier Levallet, appea
 ring as a featured soloist on more than 30 recordings.\nCurrently he c
 an be heard with the Pierre Favre's Ensemble, Harry Beckett, Tony Kofi
 , Mingus Moves, Full Monte, Liam Noble, Ben Davis, Mike Westbrook and 
 Don Weller's Electric Octet. Recent major tours have seen him featured
  in the big bands of George Russell and Hermeto Pascoal.\n \n“Bisco

 iderable versatility. He is steeped in the jazz tradition and his conc
 eption embraces everything from blues and gospel roots to free improvi

 in, Jazz UK\n~~~~~\nColin Oxley studied at the Guildhall School, gradu
 ating in 1990. In that same year he won 'Best Soloist' in the National
  Big Band Competition and has gone on to pursue a highly successful mu
 sical career.\n \nAs a long standing member of Stacey Kent's group he
  recorded several albums as well as touring extensively, including app
 earances at the Montreux and North Sea jazz festivals and residencies 
 in New York and San Francisco.\n \nIn the year 2000, Colin was voted 
 Jazz Musician of the Year by the Worshipful Company of Musicians. In b
 etween touring and recording, Colin is a professor at the Guildhall Sc
 hool of Music & Drama.\n~~~~~\nAfter studying at the Royal Academy of 
 Music Jeremy Brown is now one of the leading bass players in the UK an
 d is now firmly established on the national jazz scene. He has been a 
 regular member of the Peter King Quartet and of Gerard Presencer's 'Pl
 atypus', and has worked with stars such as Louis Stewart, Johnny Griff
 in, Art Farmer, Mornington Lockett, Brad Mehldau and Mark Turner. In 1
 995, he was featured as the bass player on Julian Joseph's live TV bro
 adcast from the Summer Proms. Jeremy Brown is clearly one of the most
