 ion with Kaiyo and Malcolm Earle Smith!\nMalcolm Earle Smith is one of
  the UK’s most versatile and expressive jazz trombonists, vocalists,
  and educators, celebrated for his deep command of the jazz tradition 
 from early New Orleans styles to bebop and beyond.\nAfter studies at t
 he Guildhall School of Music, he joined the National Youth Jazz Orches
 tra, quickly rising to the lead trombone chair. His career since has s
 panned collaborations with many of the UK’s most respected artists, 
 including John Dankworth, Henry Lowther, Liam Noble, Digby Fairweather
 , and international soul legends Martha Reeves and Ronnie Spector. He 
 has also toured extensively with Bryan Ferry, appearing on the albums 
 As Time Goes By and The Jazz Age, as well as Ferry’s soundtrack for 
 The Great Gatsby.\nAs a bandleader, Earle Smith has released several a
 cclaimed albums, beginning with Lyric Trombone (1996), praised by Ming
 us trombonist Jimmy Knepper, and more recently the vocal‑focused Voc
 al Intent (2022). His projects include the Basin Street Brawlers, Thre
 e Way Stretch, and the Nevada Street Four, each highlighting his styli
 stic breadth and deep musical curiosity.\nEqually at home in vintage s
 wing, modern jazz, and contemporary vocal performance, Malcolm Earle S
 mith continues to be recognised for his versatility, artistry, and end
