 i - two workshops this Autumn starting in September and November.\n \
 n\nThese workshops are designed for everyone – whether you are alrea
 dy life writing or are wanting to make a start. Giovanna tailors mater
 ial for individuals within the group, so that there is a range of exer
 cises and suggested reading, allowing complete beginners to work along
 side more established life writers. Our buddying system keeps you on t
 rack and students learn as much from giving feedback as from receiving
  it. Weekly writing exercises and areas for discussion make this an ex
 tremely productive workshop.\n \n\nGiovanna says:\n“Over 6 weeks, w
 e will explore how to shape and structure our writing in a compelling 
 and novelistic way. We will learn ways to hook our readers into our st
 ory, keep them turning the pages, charm and alarm them with our charac
 ters and reveal fascinating, relatable truths about our lives. We will
  investigate what is meant by a strong voice in memoir and understand 
 how stylistic devices like dialogue, scene building, setting descripti
 on, and suspense creates a vivid world the reader can disappear inside
 . As well as reading extracts from published memoirists, nominated stu
 dents will have the chance to workshop extracts of their writing each
