DESCRIPTION:LOSS FOUND is an ongoing collaborative body of work by art
 ists and designers Sue Westergaard & Esther Smith. Having both spent t
 heir careers in design, costume & fashion their joint work exploits th
 e traditions of surface decoration & textiles. The work explores the f
 undamentals of humanity… we are born, we love, we live, we age, we b
 ecome diseased, we decay, we die, we erode. There is no escape. This i
 s the human condition. It is frightening & it is awesome.\nThis exhibi
 tion consists of pieces that combine found objects with drawings, fabr
 ic pieces, photographs & prints. These ‘gatherings’ create intimat
 e connections that become encounters with dreamt histories: histories 
 of the people who previously owned them, or those who might have owned
