DESCRIPTION:With Alex McHallam, Mosaic Artist\nAlex is a local mixed m
 edia artist specialising in mosaics. She has been teaching mosaic maki
 ng for the past fifteen years. Her work can be seen locally in Palmers
  Green and Gordon Hill railway stations. We are delighted to be offeri
 ng this mosaic workshop at Stitch!\nWhat you will learn\nBeginners: yo
 u will be given a small board, tools and a range of materials and inst
 ruction on how to design a mosaic; basic cutting and sticking techniqu
 es and how to finish your mosaic by grouting it.\nImprovers: if you ar
 e ready for your next project, you will be given advice on how to get 
 started with it – what technique to use and the best materials to ge
 t the result you want. Materials and tools will be supplied, but you a
 re welcome to bring in your own bits and pieces: just check with Alex 
 first so she knows how to support you.\nCLASS SIZE: 8-10 people. Over
