SUMMARY:Palmers Green Community Festival
DESCRIPTION:2012 saw Palmers Green’s first Community Festival and we
 ’re now very close to the second.\n2013 will again see the huge Fest
 ival Day party in Broomfield Park on Sunday 1st September starting at 
 noon. On top of that, Festival Week commences on Sunday 25th August wi
 th Broomfield Blues, arranged by the Vintage Blues Association, playin
 g in the park bandstand from 1pm and runs through to Saturday 31st Aug
 ust with a family showing of Wizard of Oz arranged by Talkies Communit
 y Cinema in Burford URC at 6:30.  Do book that one early to avoid dis
 appointment via www.talkies.org.uk . There are other events in town du
 ring the week.\nOn Festival day itself we will have in excess of eight
 y stalls, a fun fare, the UK’s largest climbing wall, tricks from do
 gs and bees, free CD’s, live radio, a full days worth of musical per
 formers, quite a few UK dance champions, a very large netball tourname
 nt, tennis, an Olympic Torch and more.  \nAmazingly it’s free and t
 hat’s because a lot of people and organisations have given so genero
 usly of their resources. The green collecting tins you will see are fo
 r Festival. Any surplus will be reinvested back into our community –
  such as with Talkies, one of the successes from Festival 2012’s sur
 plus.\nYou can download a copy of the brochure from the Festival web s
 ite as well as keeping up to date with any late additions to the progr
