 sociation and friendship, going back forty years, between Henry and ba
 ssist Dave Green. They both felt that the time had arrived to play the
  music of their choice, together with some of the finest jazz musician
 s working in Britain today. As a result Still Waters is now one of the
  most accomplished, tightly ensembled and creative bands around.\nAlth
 ough a classic quintet of two front line and rhythm, Still Waters play
 s radical and original music, ranging from gentle, quietly pastoral an
 d melodic music, reflecting the band’s name, through to dynamic, fre
 e improvisation. Henry Lowther was born in Leicester, England, in 1941
 . Over the last 60 years Henry’s work on the British jazz scene read
 s like a “Who’s Who”. He has played regularly with, amongst many
  others, Gordon Beck, Michael Garrick, Graham Collier, Mike Gibbs, Pet
 e King, Loose Tubes, John Surman, John Taylor, Stan Tracey and Kenny W
