SUMMARY:'Street Seen'- an exhibition about my street at The Geffrye Mu
 suem of the Home
DESCRIPTION:I would like to invite you to an exhibition that I initiat
ed at The Geffrye Musuem of the Home.\n\nA Street Seen: the residents
of Westbury Road  \nA collaboration between local artist Gabriela Sch
utz, photographer Andrew Buurman, and the residents of Westbury Road,
Bounds Green, documents the homes, gardens and people on a typical Lond
on street.\nThe six metre long panoramic drawing shows a row of near-i
dentical Victorian houses on the road Gabriela lives on. The diversity
of residents who live there is revealed in Andrew Buurman’s photogr
aphs. Taken over two years, they reveal the residents in their back ga
rdens – spaces invisible from the street, as varied as the house fro
nts are regular.\nGabriela Schutz is an artist who has exhibited in ga
lleries in London, Israel and Europe and is shortlisted for the 2015 J
erwood Drawing Prize. www.gabrielaschutz.com\nAndrew Buurman is a phot
ographer who has exhibited in the UK and the States, won a World Press
Award and published in many international newspapers and magazines. w
ww.buurman.co.uk\nThe Geffrye explores the home from 1600 to the prese
nt day. Evocative displays of London, middle-class living rooms and ga
rdens illustrate homes and home life through the centuries, reflecting
changes in society, behaviour, style and taste. The museum is set in
Grade 1 listed, 18th century almshouse buildings surrounded by gardens
in Hoxton, East London. www.geffrye-museum.org.uk \n\nEntry: FREE Ad
