 rred to as London’s second river, the Lea rivals only old Father Tha
 mes in terms of its length and the way it meanders through many of the
  boroughs of North and East London. Maggie will look at how the activi
 ty along the River Lea has changed and evolved, as well as the range o
 f uses made of the water along its route - from the different mills on
 ce employed in industry, and the transport used to navigate the waterc
 ourse in moving goods and people.\nThis talk highlights the Canal Muse
 um's new exhibition about London's Living Waterways, which features th
