DESCRIPTION:An evening talk marking Holocaust Memorial Day led by Jan 
 Marsh, historian and author, as she shares the poignant stories behind
  the faces of survivors of the Holocaust who made their home in Haring
 ey. This talk accompanies a special photographic exhibition of the sam
 e name at Bruce Castle Museum - 'Portraits for Posterity' (external li
 nk), by photographer Matt Writtle, in association with Jan Marsh and J
 acki Reason.\nJan will be joined on the evening by Haringey resident J
 ohn Hajdu (external link), who will tell his own very moving story of 
 his early life in Hungary during World War Two under the Nazi regime, 
 and his subsequent experiences after the Holocaust as a refugee in pos
 t-WW2 Europe.  Each face tells their own story - ones that should ne
 ver be forgotten. The exhibition Portraits for Posterity provides a pe
 rmanent memorial that also commemorates the millions who perished with
