DESCRIPTION:Royalty & Famous Guests 28th & 29th July\nWe welcome you t
 o our fifth Open House Weekend at Trent Park. This is the final of our
  current planned weekends during spring/summer 2012.  You are invited 
 to meet the royal and famous guests of Trent Park’s history. Sir Phi
 lip Sassoon's luxury estate has seen many enter and leave, especially 
 during the height and glamour of the 1920s and 1930s. Visit us to hear
  about the untold stories of the upstairs guests and downstairs staff.
   Hear stories about:\n\nSir Winston Churchill's passion for art aroun
 d the estate\nSir Philip's involvement in the secret love affair of Ki
 ng Edward VIII and Mrs Simpson before his abdication\nThe wedding pres
 ents from Sir Philip to the Duke and Duchess of Kent which are still v
 isible today\nThe famous garden designer Norah Lindsay and her once sp
 ectacular garden designs\nThe royal links of the estate from the 15th 
 century to recent years\n\n Guided Walking Tours We are offering free 
 guided walking tours of the Mansion House (ground floor and basement),
  statues and gardens (subject to the weather on the day). Tours of the
  estate run for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes starting at: 10am,
  12pm, 2pm & 4pm  Tours begin at the Mansion main entrance.  The M
 ansion building is open until 5pm both days although last entry is at 
 4pm. Please wear appropriate footwear as the tours involve walking out
 doors.  For those interested in seeing the flowers and plants on the e
 state, providing weather is suitable, walks of Sir Philip Sassoon's Ja
 panese Water Gardens (recently being restored by Enfield Council) and 
 surrounding woodlands will be available upon request at an appropriate
  time during the day. Please ask at Reception on the day.  Museum We h
 ave a small collection of items, documents and photographs in our mus
 eum area. All are welcome to come and have a look at them. We are als
