 o attend our next Open House Weekend to relive the Golden Age at Trent
  Park. Sir Philip Sassoon's luxury estate during the height and glamou
 r of the 1930s has seen many famous and royal guests. Visit us to hear
  about the untold stories of the upstairs guests and downstairs staff.
 Hear stories about:\n\nSir Winston Churchill's passion for art around 
 the estate\nSir Philip's involvement in the secret love affair of King
  Edward VIII and Mrs Simpson before his abdication\nThe wedding presen
 ts from Sir Philip to the Duke and Duchess of Kent which are still vis
 ible today\nThe famous garden designer Norah Lindsay and her once spec
 tacular garden designs\n\nGuided Walking ToursWe are offering free gui
 ded walking tours of the Mansion House (ground floor and basement), st
 atues and gardens (subject to the weather on the day). Tours of the es
 tate run for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes starting at:10am, 12
 pm, 2pm & 4pmTours begin at the Mansion main entrance.The Mansion b
 uilding is open until 5pm both days although last entry is at 4pm. Ple
 ase wear appropriate footwear as the tours involve walking outdoors.Fo
 r those interested in seeing the flowers and plants on the estate, pro
 viding weather is suitable, walks of Sir Philip Sassoon's Japanese Wat
 er Gardens (recently being restored by Enfield Council) and surroundin
 g woodlands will be available upon request at an appropriate time duri
