DESCRIPTION:\nEVENING WALK ALONG THE PYMMES BROOK FROM EAST BARNET TO 
 SOUTHGATE - Meeting point and time: Bounds Green Tube Station at 18:45
 \nLENGTH: 3 to 3½ miles\nA pleasant walk through a delightful green s
 wathe in N London. We follow the Pymmes Brook through Oakhill and Arno
 s Parks (connected by a leafy section of the brook that runs the lengt
 h of Hampden Way at the back of the houses). Plan A at this point is t
 o cross into Broomfield Park and do a circuit including the walled gar
 den over to Palmers Green, Plan B is to follow side streets uphill to 
 Old Southgate Green.\n\nWalk leader: Caroline Wall (07803 172527)\nOut
 ward Journey: We will catch the 184 bus from the stop just a few yards
  down Brownlow Road and alight just short of East Barnet Village.\nHom
 eward Journey and post-walk drinks:\nØ If Plan A (see above) we will 
 exit Broomfield Park and cross the road to Palmers Green Station and c
 atch the train 1 stop to Bowes Park with optional post-walk drinks at 
 The Step.\nØ If Plan B our post-walk drinks at Ye Olde Cherry Tree, O
 ld Southgate Green precede our journey home from the bus stop just out
 side the Pub. The choice is the 299 bus back to Bounds Green or the 12
 1 to Green Lanes/Wood Green if that is more convenient for some.\n\n
