DESCRIPTION:The New Format of Haringey Area Assembly begins this week 
 the old Area Assemblies system is being transformed and replaced with 
 Area Committees – which will work with local people to improve the n
 eighbourhood for the benefit of all residents.\nThe borough has been d
 ivided into seven Area Committees, led by local ward councillors with 
 a number of responsibilities including:\n\nDeveloping an Area Committe
 e plan to set out neighbourhood priorities\nAllocating Making the Diff
 erence community fund grants to local groups\nWard councillors working
  together and discussing with residents over important local issues.\n
 \nEach meeting will start with an open public forum followed by a deci
 sion making session of the committee.\nAll Area Committee meetings wil
 l be public, with dates, times, agendas and reports published on the c
