  ‘ancient’ musical genre . The Project facilitates progressions, e
 xperiments and developments of the genre, featuring commissions of new
  ragas, new interpretations, compositions, and improvisations.\n\nThe 
 Karamel Lounge is proud once again to host the project with a monthly 
 programme featuring artists willing to push the boundaries of South As
 ian classical music.\n\nSarathy’s percussive rhythms explore to find
  the perfect balance in a hierachichical context of Indian classical m
 usic. The gifted percussionist brings issues of equality and accessibi
 lity through performance paradigms of the percussive instruments. Prom
