 layer Kate Hogg, tabla artist Sanju Sahai and Jazz pianist Mark Edward
 s. The trio will perform free improvisations based on a range of Ragas
  along with a selection of original Jazz Ballads played on the bansuri
 .\nKate Hogg is a Bansuri player, who studied North Indian classical 
 and jazz music at the Rotterdam music conservatory in the Netherlands,
  following a concert by the master bansuri player, Hariprasad Chaurasi
 a from North India. After receiving a Develop Your Creative practice g
 rant from the Arts Council England in 2021, Kate has been working with
  Mark Edwards on creating improvised and arranged music with the Bansu
 ri. Kate continues to work with a senior disciple of Hariprasad Chaura
 sia (Debopriya Chatterjee) in India, to increase her understanding of 
 the traditional genre. She also performs and records as a multi-instru
 mentalist on flutes and saxes in jazz and world music ensembles on the
  south coast of England.\nSanju Sahai is an international tabla artis
 t belonging to the Benares Gharana and being the 6th generation of tab
 la players in the lineage. Son of legendary Pandit Sharda Sahai, he ha
 s accompanied many of India's legendary musicians and dancers, such as
  Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia (Bansuri), Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma (Sant
 oor). He has and continues to collaborate with various international a
 rtists from around the globe such as: Manuela Carrasco (Flamenco dance
 ), Michael Nyman (British Composer), Akram Khan (Dancer) and Anoushka 
 Shankar (composer).\nMark Edwards is a Jazz pianist, producer and com
 poser, with several albums to his own name including “In Deep”, pr
 oduced by four time Grammy Nominated/Brit Award winning producer James
  McMillan, and “Sawdust and Spangles” featuring his eclectic proje
 ct “The Cloggz”. On the Jazz scene, Mark has worked with top U.K. 
 and U.S. names, including Johnny Dankworth, Bobby Wellins, Scott Hamil
 ton and Ken Peplowski. He has performed at such prestigious festivals 
 as Montreux, Montreal, Mount Fuji Japan, Singapore and the North Sea J
 azz Festival, and established Jazz venues such as Ronnie Scotts, The B
 ottom Line New York, and Blue Note Milan.\nKaramel - 4 Coburg Road, Lo
