Two evenings ago, 3 ladies said their goodbyes at the junction of Middleton road and Palmerston road. One of them walked down Palmerston road, a blonde lady with a green dress. At the same junction, 3 Bulgarian Roma young adults started making way towards her. She was completely oblivious and on her phone. I whistled from my window and they dropped her chase, then tried to break into the car parked by the mail box on Palmerston road around 11 pm. The alarm started and they run off up Middleton triad towards Bowes Park. They all live in Middleton road by the off licence. We have some serious crime going on here and we pretend we are a residential area. Police nowhere to be seen. Remove the ilegal betting houses on Middleton road. One is completely anonymous by Vrisaki, one as FC Salami, friend worked there and said is laced with dodgy business, then the next one is further up front of the Greek bakery. One operation of home office visit, block both ends of the road and clean this area once for all! The drug dealers are all by the estates and deal at the corner of Middleton road with Palmerston Road.
A camera has been placed there but for what we will never know.

my friend, I am Romanian and worked with my Bulgarian friends for over 2 decades, believe me I know how to make the difference between Roma people and Bulgarians or Romanians! They speak Bulgarian as I speak a little bit myself but some parts they use dialects. They don’t speak much English and they live off the dole as many others from here. There are entire families that moved to the UK to live off the dole, and as that got cut down, crime will only go up….My point is no one is asking them any questions. When I moved to the UK, the emigration law enforcement was everywhere. If people start biting the hand that feeds them, anyone should be able to say something or raise the alarm. Last time I called the police, the answer was: we don’t have anyone to send over, so what’s the point in calling them?

Well done Sammi for raising these issues. I have witnessed prostitution, drug dealing, contraband, fencing, traffic offences, the illegal after dark gambling den and quite possibly people trafficking going on here. When I raised the gambling den issue on a local public forum, I was shut down for racism. I've reported things to the police over and over again.

Oh yes, and I was once indecently assaulted by a man on the stretch of pavement outside Elite Plumbing/Vrisaki, when I was coming back from an evening out with my nursing colleagues, and I have also been told recently that people awaiting a change of identity are being housed on Myddleton Road, whoever that means?

I really doubt something would be done, and it’s true, if they own the buildings, they seem to do whatever they want with them. It’s a feel of mafia and crime at a very high level. I wonder if we got any police officers on this platform, or if anyone capable to help?

, well I am an immigrant, so I wonder what would they have to say against of what I see daily happening on our wannabe famous road. As much as I dislike the amount of child care on this road, it seems to be the only way to push these people out of this road!

The camera is for the No entry, and has been there for at least 2 years. Did you ring police at the time?

They have no officers to send over. My neighbours been burgled not long ago and they got the same answer. If I felt the sense of urge to raise this up here, is because I don’t see any authority doing anything about it, reported or not…(edited)

Most of the time they do not have the officers, but ( as was shown on here ) occasionally they do and sometimes around the corner. Also by reporting it the police can post officers to a specific area.

This is shocking Sammi 😱😱 Try approaching the community associations of the area, they do exist. Maybe ask the Myddleton market organisers for some guidance. I’m sure they all want a cleaner, safer area to live in.

I have lived next door to disgusting, dodgy Myddleton Road for 24 years. The Bowes Park Community Association and We Love Myddleton Road have tried to improve the situation there for years and years. The police, local councillors and Haringey Council have been involved for years and years. The problem has to do with who owns the properties and what they are being used for. It is not a woke/unwoke issue. Criminal activity of all sorts goes on there. Wake up!

Anthy Orphanou Hello Anthy, I think we need someone like Harry Keeble of the Haringey Drugs Squad. See his book 'Crack House' re the 1990s in Haringey. I have suggested compulsory purchase of buildings to one Labour councillor. I think Sammi's suggestion of a Home Office swoop would yield very interesting results....

Last week, from the Albanian gang, one of them had an ankle tag walking down the road. They are all here on greek papers, while dealing class A drugs at the door of the Greek Caff! This area is laced with all sorts, and no one is questioning any of them. I go to work early in the morning, same suspects as when I return home. I really believe we are sat on a “bag of methane” on this road…and they are all hand in hand.

Well done Sammi for telling it how it is. I do think the presence of the two Montessori schools helps, and Pocket Park, where the children play. Also, there are a lot of families with young children in the area, which is healthy. Yes, I too understand that there are a lot of Albanians here illegally, pretending to be Greek. This isn't a secret. Priti Patel visited Albania last year to discuss the problem with the government there, because of the cocaine trade and other related criminal activity. You only have to google it....

1) The bakery is not greek any more, 2) The police is having breakfast at bows cafe , 3) You can’t say Bulgarian Roma unless you heard them talking and you know the language 4) These are serious accusations for legit business so you better be ready when they ask you for proofs 5) I’m more annoyed from the tables taking the parking space and the businesses not paying anything for that space , especially when I’m getting tickets for parking 5 sec illegally elsewhere ( 4 pcn this month )
