On the Hertford Loop (which runs through our area) they are proposing a big increase in frequency on weekdays and Saturdays (offpeak 6 trains an hour from Palmers Green, 4 trains an hour from Bowes Park). However, they have dropped their earlier promise to double the Sunday service and now plan to stick to two trains an hour all day.

I've been looking forward to a proper "metro" service since it was first mentioned last year and am very disappointed about the Sunday proposals. I think we should be lobbying for 4 trains an hour.

For more details read my article at www.palmersgreencommunity.org.uk/pgc/public-transport/1754-2018-timetables-consultation-govia-drop-plan-to-improve-sunday-services.

(In the article I talk about "May 2018", which is when previous communications from Govia have said that the new services will start. But the latest consultation just says "2018".)
Consultation on changes to trains at Bowes Parktag:bowesandbounds.org,2016-11-25:6278630:Topic:1187352016-11-25T14:57:20.760ZDawn Barneshttps://bowesandbounds.org/profile/DawnBarnes316

Now the formal consultation process has begun with the Transport for London Webste spelling out the options -TFL says:

Crossrail 2 replaces an earlier scheme known as the Chelsea-Hackney Line. Crossrail 2 would help to relieve congestion on both the national and TfL rail networks, and support economic development in and around London.

We are planning a route that takes account of future transport challenges facing London and south east England. It will include the opportunity to serve Euston as a terminus for High Speed 2.

Preliminary work has identified two possible routes: a Metro option offering a high-frequency, underground service across central London and a Regional option connecting central London with areas to the north east and south west. Both options share a similar route through the centre of London.

The full details of the proposls and the impact on existing services are available to download from TFL The consultation will run until August 2nd.

The TFL website includes a helpful video comparing the two routes (complete with overloud 80s Synth Pop!) What do you think?
