Bowes Park Curiosity Shop closing
I just had a chat with the owner of the Bowes Park Curiosity Shop on Whittington Road. It is closing in a couple of weeks after 37 years of business.
He's a lovely guy and must have many stories about the area. Apparently he used to have two shops on Myddleton Road years ago.
He's keen to clear the shop before closing so you never know, you may get a bargain!

I bought a mass produced art deco picture frame in this shop once, cost: £1. A short while later I came across an identical one in Grey's Antique Market, Bond Street. Cost: £9.
