HI all

We recently moved to the area, we're just off Bounds Green Road near the Alexandra Palace rail station end and just wanted to warn people about a rather strange visit I had yesterday. A young boy (about 13) rang the doorbell, but had gone by the time I came down and was walking up and down the street looking into houses. He asked if we wanted our driveway 'done' and when I said I'd need to speak to others in the property, he started asking when they would be home, whether he could come in the morning and whether we worked full time. When I asked him for a card, he called over another man who had been sitting in the opposite driveway (I assumed he was from that property), and he said they could clean or pave the driveway and asked me to nip inside to get a pen for his details (which I didn't as was getting a bit suspicious by then!)

Just wanted to warn people as I unsuspectingly told them I usually work full time, and realised afterwards they seemed to be trying to get information about when the property would be empty. I did report it, and the neighbourhood safety patrol were going to have a look around today I think, but just be careful about giving them any information!

For info, one was a teenager, very large build, medium brown hair and freckles, and the other was slight and fair haired, both had Irish accents.
