Thanks Richard - Nice to be part of this group! I am wondering about people's thoughts about the Pickard Way Waste Disposal project - I am sure there has been lots here around that - please direct me to any petitions, conversations etc.
Thanks for your message. The website looks great. My children are at Bowes - I believe yours are too. I joined it because I had been looking up information on the Pinkham Way development.
Hi Richard, thanks for the welcome. I sent the website link to a number of parents whose children go to my kids school and one has already joined before me..and hopefully others will follow.
Regards,
Richard
I am about to start researching a book based on Local Residents Associations and Neighbourhood Watch Committees etc and how integral they are to the community. I want to explore the relationships with local business etc and how these groups actually come together, what the goals are etc. Would you know of information on when upcoming meetings will be taking place?
Hi Richard,
Just added my Tottenham Cake blog (messed it up though, pushed publish before putting the title in - so it comes up in LA as no title- sorry you'd think I'd know better). Let me know if you think its worth me adding more of the general material that I put on HOL. e.g. I did a post about feeding garden birds this morning, or not.
Nice to see you yesterday. Hoping we can start some work around social media surgeries next.

hi Richard
Hope to be posting about Myddleton Road shortly if that is ok with you. Thought it might be a good idea if we met up for a coffee and a chat sometime to discuss ways to take the project forward in B & B area through the site. all the best
Hi Richard, will certainly think about the best way of doing this and probably will seek Hugh's advice on that. Would be good to do something for BB and HOL together tho with some tweeking to emphasise different aspects/events.
more soon... got to leave soon for public meeting on neighbourliness in Harringay with Kevin up at Stroud Grn Library.
Great to meet you today at the launch. Thought it was a really good event and a lot of interest in the project. Very excited about the new job as community devt worker for HNC and will be able to publicise what we are doing on this site as well as on HoL. Would like to add you as a connection here.
Hi Richard
I think it would be very useful to meet up and discuss possibilities. I am a trustee of the social action network www.i-volunteer.org.uk and although I am a technical dinasour I am completely committed to social media features as 'solutions' for social action communications challenges and voluntary & community sector 'issues'. I am attending the neighbourhoods conect event at TAB today. Are you? Ref boundaries: although I am the VC manager for Enfield I am part of the North London VC Network, so cross boundary work is allowed!
Hi Richard, Thank you for the welcome. I am the Enfield Volunteer Centre Manager and am very interested in interacting with local communities using social media. Hugh Flouch of Networked Neighbourhoods recommended I look at what you are doing here. So I'd like to be Bowes and Bounds resident voluntary sector specialist if that's ok!? You can see more about our work here: www.enfieldva.org.uk/vce
HI Richard,
added some shots taken at the Finsbury Summer Fete in June 2010. Hope those on the photos don't object. I think they all look great and seemed to have a lot of fun. I certainly did and hope to join the group for further events soon.
Hi Richard
Many thanks for the invite. Yes, I was very impressed by Hugh at the event. My wife and i have been on a Sunday walk with the local community group, and even won their quiz in May, but feel we should do more. Let's have a chat sometime.
What area should it cover?
It could cover the whole of Bounds Green Ward (Haringey) and enough of Bowes Ward (Enfield) to take the area down to the A406 on the west side of Green Lanes. You would need to contact the other residents and community groups in that larger area to see if they would like to be 'in'. The BPCA area is a much smaller area, but straddles Haringey and Enfield boundary.
