Event Description

Come and join us for this handmade jute weaving experience with local artist Shirin Kambarova!

Jute bags are a long lasting, durable, useful item to have around with many uses. They are foldable, making them very portable and beautiful to wear.

Made with 100% natural jute, they won't tear like paper or plastic bags and are eco friendly and sustainable.

This is a two part workshop in a small classroom setting.

Day One:

You will be learning about the jute and how to handle it.

Learning and producing the pattern and to finish all 5 parts of bag.

Day Two:

You will be given instruction on how to assemble the bag with all its parts and make the handles.

If you do not finish your bag by the end of the class not to worry we will send you home with everything you need to complete your fabulous bag very easily!

All materials will be provided and full written instructions each week will be given out to each participant to take home. Refreshments and nibbles will be provided along with a warm creative environment so just bring yourself.
