As part of the work of the Myddleton Road Strategy Group to regenerate our focal street, a conservation report was commissioned from conservation architects Butler Hegarty to help with decisions as to how an English Heritage grant should best be spent.

This report will inform discussions and decisions on the future of the street.Haringey Planning and Regeneration depts will soon be starting work on a new local development plan to incorporate conversions to housing where appropriate and associated design guidelines.

The report is 6Mb and it is lengthy but well worth looking through, it can be downloaded here.

Wow! Some of the photos from the early 20th century are fascinating and amazing! Would love to bring back old styled awnings to the front of the shops. Need to read the report in more detail, but fascinating stuff and how the geography of the place seems to have changed.
