Forget Trump Vs Clinton It's all about the Myddleton Road voting this week!
There are three public voting events running currently which each celebrate the things we love about our neighbourhood and they need your input!
First and foremost Myddleton Road is leading the pack in the London category of the Great British High Street Awards - details of the competition are on the website - you can vote once a day online.
There are also a few Myddleton Road Businesses in the Time Out Love London Awards have a look at the options online for Shops, Restuarants and local culture and show how much We Love Myddleton Road!
Finally some of our much loved local parks, big and small, have been nominated for the UK's Best Park Award vote online to ensure our local parks get the recognition they deserve, out of the 30 London parks nominated. Finsbury Gardens is on the list - along with Alexandra Park, Albert Rd Rec and Broomfield Park, Make sure you Vote for Your Favourite!
On the subject of Parks, the Myddleton Road Community Garden needs a little love and attention and this time it's not people causing a mess ... but a Fox! find out more.
Another area that has benefited from collective volunteer gardening is the planters on Alexandra Palace Station - Giles shares this delightful video of the team in action.
We've followed the progress of the North London Samaritans as they develop the "Tin Tabernacle," Shaftesbury Hall in Herbert Road for community use - read the latest update on their progress.
Finally - a very exciting new initiative is set to start in Palmers Green shortly - The new Play Quarter project will build on existing play street schemes and ensure children have a safe environment for outdoor play ...
perhaps we might set up play streets this side of the North Circular?
