So people complain about flyposting in Bounds Green. Then we get community noticeboards and they rip our posters off the noticeboards. They also illegally pose as councillors and issue fake emails and threatening texts (the police have been notified).

I have a few points to make about this. In the time it takes you to remove a poster, we will get an average of 2 to 3 new students signing up for our courses who will almost certainly rebook because our local art/ yoga/ salsa/ pilates/ language courses are really good (you should try them).

This proves that there are many more people who want to find out about local events, connect with their neighbours, have fun and make friends, than those who don't in our lovely community.

It also means that while our actions allow us mumpreneurs to make a living while still making school pick up time, yours just waste your own time, hardly affect our businesses at all and are just mildly annoying in terms of their petty-minded curmudgeonliness (lovely word).

Also, and this is the most baffling part of your actions, can't you see how tearing our posters down from community noticeboards can only result in more flyposting? If we know you will remove them from where you know they are, we will simply make you run around and find them.
Why? Because every one of our local businesses are driven by a powerful maternal love for our munchkins. Our modest profits pay for their dance classes, after school clubs etc. This is a powerful force you can't possibly compete with. So I would give up and go home if I were you - or better still, fancy a Salsa class? I know a great one just on your doorstep in Myddleton Road ;)

Ps. If you are against flyposting (or you just love us), please help us catch the culprits - the police have been given descriptions but we could really do with a photo. We would much prefer to advertise only on designated noticeboards than walk around for hours (although it does explain our fabulous figures) ;)
Thanks for reading Bowes and Bounders and have a great evening xxx

No Michelle, this discussion is about ripping posters down from community noticeboards which have been installed as an agreed step forward from the discussion you quote. With respect, please re-read. Thanks

No Michelle, the flyposting continued BECAUSE the notices were ripped off the noticeboards. Some even accused us of not using them but this was not the case.

The notice boards were agreed because a) some residents objected to flyposting and b) because it was an easier way for local businesses to advertise without the need to walk around for hours in the rain so mutually beneficial.

If you want to stop flyposting, your best bet is to help ensure our posters stay on noticeboards. Do you recognise that posing as an elected councillor to harass your neighbours is also a crime? Following people around in cars? Tearing down their property from noticeboards that were installed to STOP flyposting? Are you ok with all of this?!

If not I respectfully request that you allow those who can help, to help the police with their enquiries.
