This weekend is the international rememberance day for people killed and injured in road traffic accidents - to mark the event the Guardian website has published a chilling set of figures of the numbers and location of accidents and fatalities on the UKs roads: a total of 32,955 killed, nearly 3m injured over the last decade.

The UK statistics are mapped to the areas where incidents occured - looking at the data for the Bowes and Bounds area it's no suprise that the majority of local incidents occur on the main roads - A406, Bowes Road, Green Lanes - and particularly clustered at major junctions.
