Please everyone, be on the lookout for Smokey, our African Grey parrot. We lost him on Saturday evening 14th July.
He flew out in the dark, whilst it was pouring down and birds don't fly in the rain, so he must have landed somewhere near Allison Road N8, where we live. Because he's uncertain and scared I was told by experts that he'd keep on sitting there for a few days, but we haven't seen or heard anything yet.
He was last seen on Duckets Common, near Turnpike Lane on Tuesday, but after that there were no more sightings of him.
Parrots can fly very far, so he might have end up in the WG, BP, BG area.
He answers to his name, and he imitates my phone ring tone too. He wolf whistles, likes the Good the Bad and the Ugly song too.
We miss him so much, the house is very quiet without him.
He loves cherries and sunflower seeds and after a few days he may come down from the tree or roof he's sitting on and look for food on the ground, cause that's what Greys do. If he's hungry he might be very easy to catch.
Please look in your gardens and on your roofs, or even on the pavement.
He is grey and has a red tail, by the way.
Your help will be rewarded!
Also if you know of any bird spotters or clubs or anywhere else to contact please let me know.
Thank you,
Jessica and Peet

We found Smokey today, he is safe and well and home again.
He was found by a kind gentleman who had been taking care of him since Sunday. He had been looking for us since last week, and finally found us today with help from a friend who lives in Wood Green.
Needless to say that we are overjoyed!
Thanks everyone,
Jessica
