I grew up in north London but have been away for many years. We just moved to Bowes Park and I was really excited to take our son to his first Bonfire night fireworks at Ally Pally, but there won't be any this year.

Ally Pally would have been wonderful, but where else can we go for a good public display? It needs to be public transport accessible. Or is there even a good vantage point where we'll be able to see lots of fireworks going off?

Hi Allison

Shame that Ally Pally no longer holds a fireworks display. Last year our family went to the Southgate display that Susie mentioned - its in the Walker Cricket ground and very easily accessible by public transport.

More information here

I've been to the Southgate fireworks last year, and I thought it was a complete rip off.

Firstly you have to pay for the entrance, and then you have all these other stalls, bouncy castles, etc .. which are not cheap either. The fireworks were ok, but not as nice as Ally Pally. Complete rip-off.

Shame on Haringey for cancelling the Ally Pally fireworks.

There is a Firework display at Haringey Scout park in Bounds Green on 10th Nov. The scout park is on Gordon Road Bounds Green N11 2PB, a few minutes walk from Bounds Green Tube. Time 6 - 8pm,  Adults £4.00 Children £3.00. Local Explorer Scouts are selling tickets, but you can also buy on the door. BBQ, tuck shop, refreshments, stalls.
