The organisers of the market which has been operating at Bounds Green School since last autumn have announced today on their website that the Market will now only operate from their second site - in Finchley.

The statement from North London Artisan Market thanks customers and traders at the N11 site - and announces a longer trading day at the new venue. Elsewhere on the site is notice of a "new venue coming soon"

That's a shame. I hope they have more success in Finchley. All efforts on Myddleton Road market then!

It's sad but not a complete surprise. The location did not do the market any favours but I took the family over to the one at Avenue House and it had a completely different atmosphere altogether. A lesson for the Myddleton Road Market is the need to do whatever it takes to drag people along.

We shall miss it.  But yes, big push to get the Myddleton Rd market off the ground, then!  I recently visited the Haringey market (in a school off grn lanes, near turnpike lane) and was struck by the great atmosphere .. created I think by plentiful seating and live music to provide a focus...
