The glorious summer days see the Myddleton Road swifts circling the junction with Palmerston Road like crazy - swooping round in high circles and darting into eaves. I just love to see and hear them. If anyone has the patience to try and film them, a clip would be great to share.

I've tried but failed dismally.

Still, nothing like the real thing :)

PS they are swifts, right?

I also see them around the place!  They're great.  Pretty sure, they're swifts.

Shall see if I can have my camera at the ready next time!

Ah, swifts....the children of the sky and, after Nell, my favourite bird. I have the patience to try and film them, just not the skills because they are so quick. The good weather has sent them in to overdrive it seems.

Some useful advice if you find an injured/grounded Swift: http://www.swift-conservation.org/SwiftFirstAid.htm
