X-Factor finalist and local Bowes and Bounds resident Melanie Masson has been nominated for an award as Best Newcomer in the Capital FM/Scottish Variety Awards.

Melanie is a big supporter of local community events - for example: Appearing at Bounds Green School summer fair; Leading the carols at the turning-on of Christmas lights in December (see video); and performing at last autumn's Myddleton Road street party (pictured right)
