Hi Nicole. I'd certainly recommend the chap who did our place - reliable, pleasant, competent. He charges the "going rate" rather than bargain basement though. Certainly worth a quote I'd have thought.

Thanks Julian. We are planning to have our kitchen and dining room knocked through into one and have a new kitchen put in. When our builder comes to see us shortly and we have finalised details, I will get back in touch with you.

  At last! after a fruitless half hour or so touring various messaging and voice mail systems I made contact with a "live" electrician who has just sorted out a few little problems I have been having with sockets.  He turned up 45 minutes after my phone call.  He is Sam Lock and he is the proprietor  of ELECTRICIAN247 Ltd. based in Tottenham.  His mobile is 0793 9987 433 and his email is s.lok@btinternet.com.  He has a fairly uncomplicated charging scheme which he will explain to you if you wish.

He attended promptly, explained clearly what the problem was,spoke good English, tested the work and showed me the test results.  I was very pleased with the way he worked.  This was quite different from previous plumber/sparks visits which I tend to regard as a process of being mugged politely.

He is based the other side of Wood Green and his card is carrying the NIECIC logo so he is obviously professionally qualified.

Give him a go.  It worked for me!
