Hi,

We met Network Rail and Great Northern some months ago and asked them for updates about some desperately needed improvements to Bowes Park Station. We made the case for improved lighting, a ticker at the top of the bridge so passengers could see when trains are due and for the bridge to be painted etc.

We found out this week that the bridge is being repaired and painted in the next few weeks and that some work to the café and waiting room is planned for the summer. This is great news as the bridge currently looks a bit shabby.

We are asking for some more information about the plans as other than the bridge will be painted grey! If we get any more information I will be sure to post.

Of course there are further improvements that we want for the station but its a good start!
