Join us here at Stitch! in Palmers Green for a workshop to learn amigurumi crochet techniques with the fabulous Kay Dudman, crochet/ knittting master and local maker!
Amigurumi is the Japanese art of making stuffed toys, usually crocheted but sometimes knitted.( The toys are usually animals such as teddy bears and birds.) Crochet amigurumi is made using a spiral technique with no obvious seams and a firm tension so the stuffing doesn’t show. The technique uses double crochet to create a firm fabric, increasing and decreasing to create the body of the characters.
Some yarn and hooks will be provided as well as a creative environment with refreshments and biscuits. You can bring a notebook of you wish to take notes other than that just bring yourselves.
Parking: We have parking down the residential roads further down from the shop. If you are not lucky to find a space there is a paid parking lot a few minutes walk away: Lodge Drive Car Park, N13 5XS
