Welcome to Bowes and Bounds Connected. I hope you'll find it a useful way to connect with neighbours and learn about activities happening locally.
Do let me know if you have any questions - I'll try and answer them.
Have a look around at what’s already on the site and please do join in with the conversations - or start your own. You can upload photographs or add details of relevant local events and invite people to attend. Remember, everything you write is public, including comments on other people’s pages.
It’s always nice to put a face to a name so, please upload a profile picture, the Help Page explains how

Hi Liam, that sounds like a timely project - as we all work out what a "Big Society" feels like
The Bowes Park Community Association had its AGM a month or so back (see video interview) but I'm sure you'll find members on here who will talk about what they do - I understand the BPCA website is due to be renewed imminently ... but has loads of background and contact info another good point to start might be to drop in at 128 Myddleton Road ... BPCA is one of several Community Orgs in the area covered by Bowes and Bounds Connected - but it is the most active!
I am quite keen to learn more about the emerging organisation of local people online through "hyperlocal" sites - (of which this is an example) I was at a conference last week which launched some solid research about this phenomena see http://networkedneighbourhoods.com/?p=522 There may be some cross over with your area of interest?
As things develop It would be great to get some of your ideas and findings up as blog posts here if you were interested.
