The remarkable life of Sarah Kyolaba, fifth wife of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin, ended peacefully in Palmers Green this week. The couple first met whilst Sarah was aged 19 and a dancer with a Ugandan army band. She married Amin in 1975 in Ugandan capital, Kampala, the ceremony included Palestinian president Yasser Arafat as best man.

She died of cancer having spent the last 30 years in exile in north London. The funeral of the former first Lady of Uganda, Sarah Kyolaba Amin will take place at Palmers Green Masjid Mosque on Monday 22nd June.
